Ammon arrived home from his trip about 12:00 Sunday Night! We didn't have much time to catch up on the details because he was off by 7:30 to Scout Camp. I did snatch the camera and download some of the pictures. Many of them were really blurry, he must have had them on a wrong setting. There were some great close ups of Eagles and Bears. He said that there were dozens of bears everywhere and that they would come within 15-20 feet of you and steal your fish. They wandered around there cabin where they were staying. I'm sure that they are use to people. Nevertheless, the guys were armed with a "Blow Horn". That'll teach em to steal there fish! I would'nt want to get close to them. Bears look all soft and cuddly, but they're NOT! He had a great time. The weather was rainy for a great portion of it, but it didn't stop them from fishing from 3 or 4 in the morning until bed time. Ammon said they didn't sleep very much and they finally saw the sun on one of the days. I am glad they are back safe and had a great time. They brought back coolers full of Salmon! Fish anyone?

There were a lot of pictures, so I made them smaller. If you want a closer look-just click on them. The Bears are cool!

Glad Ammon made it home from AK. The pictures are beautiful and it looks like the fishing was great.
We'll probably be down to help eat some of it. Be careful on that lawn mower.

Love you all.

Did he fly? Drive? Who does he go with? How come you guys don't go? You could hang out in the cabin.
Was that enough questions for you?:) 5 more days till daddy's home.

Yes he flew- he has thousands of flyer miles on his business credit card. Our brother in law used some of our miles as well because the tickets are alot. It's usually just a guy thing. He went with his brother, dad, brother in law, another dad and his boys. Addison has gone twice before, but this time it was just for the big boys. They need to do that Right!

I'm sure they do need to do that -- but you need to go somewhere too.:)
Philip and I were talking the other day -- since his career and calling have become more demanding he has pretty much given up everything for him. He spends all his 'extra' time(the hours are few and far between) with his family -- of which I am grateful for.
He DOES get those bahamas, micronesia, tennessee, colorado, arizona etc, perks at work. :)
Now it's your turn to go far far away!:) Maybe not with the bears and fish -- maybe with the sand and ocean.

One Day! I do wish to be able to go off to some great vacation and see some amazing places. I did just go to Yellowstone with my kids and grandpa. My dream vacation is everyday of my life. I get to be with my kids. They are a dream come true. Enjoy all your extra trips- they are fun I am sure! YOu are very fortunate.

We all have our seasons. I'm SURE that if I hadn't moved so far away from my family we wouldn't travel as much -- we spend LOTS of money adn time visiting family. I wouldn't have it any other way either.:) It's good to chat this way -- thanks
