I love the FATHER of my children!

I love this man!  He is a wonderful man and I am so blessed that he is in my life.  I have been blessed with three beautiful children and together we enjoy being our small little happy family.

Before church, we played around taking a few snapshots for Father's Day.

I had the kids all write a note for each year that they have had a dad.  They were to write reasons why they were glad that he was their dad.  So, Addison wrote 16, Avery 11 and Ada 9.  We stuck them in balloons and had them laid out on the floor for him to discover when he woke up on Sunday.  I first had him sitting on them to pop them, but it was rather loud so we let him use a pin.  It was fun to hear all the things that the kids wrote. They sure do love their dad.

After he read all their notes, they dog-piled on him for one big Father's Day hug.

Thirty six reasons why they love their dad...................

  • you are fun to be around
  • you make food for us
  • help me in scouting
  • teach me hard work
  • teach me how to be smart with money
  • you're always helpful
  • cook good food
  • provide for the family
  • take us on vacations
  • you take care of me. I'm glad that you earn money to help buy food for the family.
  • you're warm when I hug you and I feel happy
  • you help us get better when we're sick
  • you are always the one on task. You are the main person to do work.
  • you do lots of fun things with the family. I always enjoy what you have planned for us.
  • you make people feel happy
  • you take care of the house and the garden. I like the veggies that come from the garden, I wouldn't have them if you didn't take care of the garden.
  • you have "skills"
  • you help prepare for trips
  • you pay the bills for our home
  • you make me feel safe
  • you are very kind to me and the rest of the family
  • you work hard for money
  • you help with projects
  • you build things in the shed with me. It is always fun to build with you.
  • you cheer people up
  • good values
  • you built our house and playhouse for us. I am very glad that I have a house to live in.
  • take me out for my night
  • you have a "nice body" :)
  • you help me with math
  • you help me when I need it most
  • pretty much the best dad ever!  ( like there's anyway anyone could know that)
  • teach me handyman skills
  • you keep things in order
  • you go mountain biking with me
  • you spend time with me.

Family Time on the ICE!

We jotted down the road to play on the Bear River that has frozen over.  The weather hasn't been the greatest for playing in the snow.  We needed to get out and run around, so we took sleds, ice skates and scooters to this fun spot that is being used by locals.  Our friend Devin cleared the snow off a week or two ago so that he could play hockey on it.  We spent a couple of hours having fun.

Ice Man Avery!

Why they started jumping into the cattails?  I'm not sure, but they did and kept doing it.  They also made tunnels through them like little rug rats!  I didn't care as long as the ice was good and solid underneath them.

Cute little ZOOBER!!! He always has the best smile!
The GIRLS!

My ice angel- Ada.

Addison loves that he is getting taller that me. He is stretching his neck out to make it that much more apparent. I love him even if he is getting bigger and wiser than me.

We took turns on the scooter and being pulled in the sled by Ammon.  He would spin us over and over and then let us go flying across the ice.  The kids loved it, I just got sick.  I only did it once.

Addison was the only one with a pair of Ice Skates.  We aren't big skaters, so we all don't have our own.  He had fun pulling the kids along.

Ada loved having her daddy toss her up in the air into the cattails.

Trick (Trunk) or Treat

We did the annual trunk or treat again at the church where the kids always score on the candy too quickly. Addison helped me pass out the treats. We then ventured out and did it the old fashioned way- door to door. The kids ended up with a HUGE bowl full. We decided to make it community property and monitor our sugar intake. They were okay with that. Happy Halloween 2011!
