Mom and Dad's After Pictures

Well, the flooring is done and I think that it has turned out pretty well. Ammon and I painted all the pale blue and pink walls. Ryan and Sam helped me prep for all the flooring and painting. Needless to say, I think that it looks a lot better than the blue and pink carpeting throughout the whole house- including the kitchen and bathrooms. Sorry, that I forgot to take pictures of the new carpeting. You can see it next to the laminate flooring in the front room picture. I need to repair some of the baseboards that had to come off for the flooring and touch up some painting and it should look like a new place. I hope mom and dad like the choices I made. They trusted me to pick all the materials and colors. I guess, I went by what I would like.

Alison,

thanks for all your efforts in taking care of mom and dad. You're a sweet, sweet person to do this and I really appreciate it.

If there's anything we can do to help out ($$$) let me know.

Alison,
Our new place looks wonderful. Even more important was your willing attitude. You know we would have been more than willing to pitch in, but you wanted to do it. We trust your judgement as you do such a wonderful job in your own home. We hope to live the rest our lives there, and yes, even die there. I think it's perfect. We are looking forward to the actual move, being closer to family and making some new friends etc. Words cann't express our heartfelt appreciation for all you do and are.

Loveyou forever,

Dad

I know that you could have everything that I have done and more, but I really wanted to do this. I live right here and I enjoy working and the whole concept of designing and remodeling. I wanted to lighten your load and let you focus on the house in Montpelier. I appreciate your example and I hope that you know that I would do anything for you. I am more than willing to help you in any way that I can. To lift anothers burden makes one a better and less selfish person. We all need to perfect on these areas- so in doing so, I am just trying to improve the person I am. Plan on me trying to improve myself often. Service makes me happier. I love you. Alison
