Eight years ago today.....

I went to bed while sleeping in the upstairs room of my in-laws home. We were almost finished building our home that we are in today. I had a doctors appointment in the morning to try and turn my breached little baby. Little did I know that I would go into labor around midnight. We rushed in, knowing that the baby was breach and three weeks early. We got to the hospital and they quickly gave me labor stopping drugs and prepared the O.R. for a C-section. There was no option. After a uncomfortable operation, at 5:36 a.m. our little Avery entered the world weighing 6 lbs. 3 oz. . We couldn't see how big and bright his eyes were then, but since he has shown us those beautiful blues for eight years now and I just adore them. The events of the time of his birth will forever be remembered. We were living in my in-laws home with Ammon's sweet mother sick with cancer. She was not doing well at all. We were close to having our home complete, but not quite. Avery was born on the 2nd, Winnie passed on the 9th and we moved into our new home on the 10th.We slept on the couches with our new baby while family gathered for Winnie at their home. It was a trying time, all of which I am grateful for. We saw the miracle of life and also the miracle of death all in one week. We know that we will be reunited and that Avery will get to see his Grandmother whom he has yet to meet. He has so much life and so much energy. He keeps us hopping and laughing. We love you Avery. Thank you for being our son and choosing to come to our family. Happy Birthday!

Avery,
We wish you a happy birthday. You are such a great young man. Your big blue eyes and happy smile bring joy everywhere they go. You are a good son to your parents and a good brother to Addison and Ada.
And grandparents could never ask for a kinder mor loving grandchild. Thanks for being you.
