Today we had a group photo at our school with all the students and staff. This is the first school in Mendon and we are fortunate to be the first ones learning and teaching from it. It is an historical event, so we all gathered out in the heat of the day while both morning and afternoon kindergartners were on the grounds and took a photo.
I have enjoyed being in the school. I feel like I belong. I love ALL the kids and they seem to like me a little too. I received a dozen notes from various kids and many more hugs. It makes it all worth it. I spent the rest of the day cleaning my cubby and materials in our literacy room and then watched a cute presentation put on by Avery's class. It was their "Readers Theatre".
The year is quickly coming to an end. I get to help with the FUN stuff next week- Retirement Party for my boss, Field trip to the ice rink, Field day, Swimming with the School District and the ever so popular RECESS! Can't get any funner than that!

No wonder you have such awesome kids. You are awesome and you are everywhere they are. It shows you really care and they recognize it and it pays off like nothing else.

It is so fun that you can work at the school your kids attend. Shontay is sitting on my lap as we read this post. She loved seeing pictures of her best friend, Ada!
