Addison has been a lover of airplanes since 5th grade. He studies them , collects them, practices flying them on his flight simulator, etc. He hopes to be in the Air Force after High School and into College. It is a passion of his and I fell it is a good one.
The Air Show at Hill comes around often however, he missed the last one. When we heard of the one this year, we of course had to attend. It's like heaven to him. There are definetly some amazing airplanes and pilots. Addison can name them all. After seeing so many, they all start looking the same to me- but just ask Addison, they are NOT the same.
Over 400,000 people attended today's airshow. YES, I said 400,000!! Believe me- there wasn't much room to move. They said it was like taking the population of Davis County and placing them at the show. AMAZING! It is free admission. Think of the money they could make if they charged even $1.00 a person.
We had a great time. The THUNDERBIRDS were the highlight and finale. We actually watched them from the car as we headed out of the soon-to be mad dash to the interstate.

Addison on the cell when we were leaving we saw them practicing.
They were doing some fancy spirialing. People were already there with their campers and trailers for overnight camping. I
think I would like to be there
when there wasn't as many people.

Well, next time you come you should just drive a mile a or so to the East, and come see us! We actually, pull out the chairs, play in the water, and have some great food on the weekend of the airshow! We love them.... they practice over our house every day. Addison would be in heaven.
Glad you had a good time Addison, I think it is great your interested in the Air Force. My nephew Garrett Weston is in the Air Force.
When I was in college I knew a young man from Freedom, Wyoming who had a great interest i n flying. His goal was to be one of the Thunderbird pilots, which he eventually was able to achieve. I have stopped by his grave site in Freedom a couple of times since he died. He died in a plane crash, not one of the Thunderbirds, years later. He was a great young man who followed his dream and eventually "slipped the surly bonds of earth" as we all must some day.

It's always a good show. Glad you could go. I didn't see too much of it, this is our 3rd or 4th show, but I saw a lot of practicing during the week.:)
