Well, I completed my first official Pine Wood Derby as the Cub Master. We had 120 races, 16 boys and a lot of fun. I think it ran smoothly. I was busy conducting the meeting, handing out awards and calling the races that I missed all the fun photo oppurtunities. Avery did well. He tied for fourth place with two others. I feel that all the boys were just happy to participate and they all had a lot of fun. Now, on to the Blue and Gold next month.

I can just image how busy you were. I'll bet there were lots of smiles and memories. One of the old guys up at the temple the other night was telling us that he had been invited to participate in his ward's Pinewood Derby and he won the whole shebang. He was a mighty proud eighty year old. In our ward the Elders had a Pinewood Derby last year. Boys will be boys -no matter the age.
I'm glad you felt good about it. The Blue and Gold Banquet will be great as well. Enjoy it while you've got them.
Love you all and always,
Grandpa Bart
Way to go Cub Master, Looks like you had a very nice Pine Wood Derby!
Fun stuff! I can't believe my pinewood derby days are over. Hopefully I'll have another Eagle Scout in the next couple of months.
way to go sis! Your great at all you do.
Boy, do I remember the Pine Wood
Derby Days. Your Dad in the basement carving cars for more than
one boy and hoping that they would
be happy and hoping they would win.
Hard to wish for when you had more
than one son racing. Knowing you
I'm sure everything went GREAT!!!!
Now you can enjoy your break on your cruise. Thanks for being such
a wonderful daughter. I love you
very much.
Love, Mom
P.S. Those cookies look pretty good.
