Granny Winnie Came Back For A Quick Visit

Miriam dressed like Winnie for a "dress up like Winnie" activity she and her sisters had on a girls retreat this past week. April 9th marks the 10th anniversary of her death. The girls got together in Washington to spend time reminiscing and celebrating her life. They all dressed up like Winnie in different stages and periods of her life. Ammon and Nate of course weren't there, so Miriam wanted to share it with them. She surprised us and came unannounced to our house dressing the part. Miriam hit it right on the nose here with the curlers, baggy sweatshirt, stirrup pants and canvas shoes. This is the Winnie I remember. Miriam also did a great job capturing her mannerisms and expressions. She surprised Ammon and he found it funny, yet uncanny. Avery and Ada never got to meet Winnie, so we took a picture of them together as a symbol. It was fun to relive some of the memories, things she would say and do. Miriam is a good sport dressing like this for the benefit of reliving some of Winnie's Memories.

Holy Moly, Miriam! And you always thought that you were adopted. No way! I thought it was mom, in the flesh, on Sonny's blog. Happy Easter to all! xoxo

It's good to have fond memories of those who have done so much to shape our lives. I'm sure Winnie was smiling from up above.

Ammon's family always does the most creative fun things! That is funny.
