Green Canyon Fun!

We Spent Saturday afternoon up in Green Canyon. We haven't had many dry, warm days to enjoy outdoors. We headed up there with our bikes. First, Ammon and I took off up the trail for a ride while Addison and the kids played by a campground. It is always fun. The uphill of course is harder for me and my twig legs, but I am getting better each time we go. The downhill always makes it worth it. We came back down to the kids and so that Addison and Ammon could then have their turn.

They kids had been busy making a scavenger hunt for me. They drew on a dozen or so rocks pointing to the next and then the next, etc.... until it came to the treasure!!!! Boy, did I love the treasure! It was a rock that had "I love you!" on it along side a pile of seashells that they had collected. How cute was that!

The big boys then went off on their ride which gave me and the two little ones some time to explore. We climbed rocks, entered caves, played in tunnels, hung in trees, and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery. It really was an ideal day.

We had a few snapshots, loaded the bikes on the van and then headed to KFC for Fried Chicken!!

Avery was a bit nervous about going to KFC because the last time we did the biking-KFC thing, he was sick and remembers throwing up in the canyon on the way to the trail. I had to remind him that he was sick before we even ate the KFC then. We had it on the trail as a picnic that time. That settled his mind and then it was okay to eat it. Love that Avery.
