Today was a fun, yet cold start to a busy day. Avery ran his first Wellsville Mile. He was in the 3rd Heat ( the fastest runners) of the fourth grade boys. I wish that his qualifying time was slower so that he could have competed against the more average runners and done better. He was 38th out of all the fourth grade boys in the South end of the valley which is 9 different schools. I say that is a pretty good accomplishment. It was pretty cold though. He was about the only one with something for his hands and ears. I knew from experience not to dress him in shorts. We wanted his body to be warm to start the race. I felt sorry for the others shivering (and me..... Brrrrrr). My hands were so cold, I couldn't even turn my key to start my car going home. I had to use two hands.
I caught this cute little boy bouncing around the area and noticed it was our cute Ethan- Avery's cousin. He ran in the second heat and did so good. I was cheering him on and he probably thought I was his cooky Aunt, but I don't care. I screamed and yelled as he passed by.
Good Job Ethan!
My favorite part about watching my Avery is his infectious smile. He is always goofin and smiling! I just love him!
Finishing time was 7:31! Good Job Avery!

Looks Like the Wellesville Mile is a pretty big deal. Boston Marathon, Move over!!! It was good that you got to see Ethan run too and that he got to hear you.
Love you forever,
Grandpa Bart
Avery does have avery big smile
which is a great trait about him.
You can't not smile back at some-
one who is smiling at you. I'm
glad you found Ethan in the race
also, he always has a smile too.
Fun for cousins to be together.
Love to all, Grandma Iris
