Rainy day for a race. Addison headed to Roy on Thursday for a Cross Country Meet. He really wanted me to be there. I told him that if it was really windy and rainy, not to be looking for me. It really was raining and the wind was strong. I decided to leave after work anyway and surprise him. I dressed warm, brought my umbrella and hat. I arrived a half hour early, just in time to see the girls racing. They looked wet and miserable. I searched for Addison because they were all scattered around finding shelter. I finally found him huddled in a supply building with some other boys. He looked cold, but he was trying to move to keep his muscles warm. It was funny to watch all the boys huddling together before the race trying to keep warm.
The race finally began and they started off great. This course was a good one for spectators. I ran and ran following the runners and trying to get photos of Addison. I was able to catch him often. As he ran by me of course I would yell and cheer trying to encourage him along. He finished strong with a time of 18:07. He was 12th overall. He did AWESOME!!! He improves every race. It is so fun to watch. He has one more race for the season and then we get a break from all the practices and meets. However, I love Addison being involved in this. There isn't a better group of boys to be with.

Addison is doing great. It's woderful to be involved. We used to love following our opwn children around in ll their activities. It was a lot of chasing around, but I wouldn't trade those days for anything. We loved it, maybe even more thanour kids did.
Love you all forever,
Grandpa bart
Wow, his leg muscles look really
fit and strong. I'm glad he has
enjoyed running. Keep it up in the
winter also, then in the spring
you'll be in great shape for track.
Glad yuour Mom was there, she sure
loves her kids, as we do.
