Avery and all the fifth grade classes headed to Benson Marina for a fun day of learning and playing.
There was some canoeing........
Wildlife observation.........
Eating........
Hanging around.........
Learning........ This was my station. I took a day off of teaching READING for a day of teaching about SKAT!!!! Yep, that's right, I taught four different groups about SKAT!!!!!! They actually found it interesting. I also taught them about tracks and skulls. We had examples of each which helped them recognize what to look for as we then took them on a couple mile hike/scavenger hunt. ( I did this four times, so I got my exercise in for the day! )
Off on our scavenger hunt........
Me and my fifth grader!
It was a great day, especially because I spent it with my son.

Cache Valley's version of a Field Trip to the Bear Lake Bird Refuge.
These places may not be anyone's real travel destination, but they are interesting nonetheless for people with inquiring minds and a little bit of patience. I'm sure Avery was glad to have his mom with him.
You are both so very blessed.
Love you all forever,
Grandpa Bart
Avery does light up your life with
his ever big smile and happy attitude, gotta love him.
Annika and I had a good time at
Ada's dance recital, now she wants
to take dancing lessons. It's a
good thing that kids get involved
in activities and learn new things.
I'm sure you had fun teaching about
skabbs? When those boys go hunting
they'll remember your teaching
them that lesson.
Love ya, Mom
It's "SKAT" mom, "SKAT"!!! You know, POOP!!!!????? :)
