Cache Box @ USU

Addison ran in the Cache Box XC Race this Wednesday on the USU course. This race includes, Box Elder, Bear River, West Side, Preston, Malad, Logan, Sky View and Mountain Crest.  He started off so good.  I was happy to see him in the top ten of all the boys in the first stretch.  By the time he came around again, he was in first.  I was so excited.  We watched and cheered as he kept his pace for the remaining distance ( 3.1 miles total). He kept the lead right up to the home stretch when a runner from Logan turned on his jets and passed Addison.  Addison finished with a Personal Record time of 17:27. He medaled in second place. He works so hard to train and prepare for these races. I love seeing his progress. Although he got a PR and came in second place, he wishes his time was even better.  He has a few more races and then state in October.  I know that he is pushing himself to get even faster.  Regardless, we are proud of him and love watching his enthusiasm. He is just an all around good kid and we love him so much!

Mountain Crest JV Boys took first place out of all the schools!

We were glad we could work this race into our schedule. It's fun to see him participate and especially to do so well among such a large group of boys. That says a lot. He's built like a runner. If he really wants it bad enough this could take him far. He is a great kid and we love him too.

Love you all forever,

Grandpa Bart

Dad and I really enjoyed seeing him racing. He
will enjoy this all his life and it will keep him
happy and healthy. He sure had a big smile on
his face. We love him and are glad we could
