I'm THE worst mom!

Today, Ada had a friend over and I think that it set Avery into the show off mode. He kept bugging the girls and then did something not appropriate to mention. Let's just say, he's a boy and kept doing some "BOY" things. I reprimanded him and we had a little chat about appropriate behavior and I sent him to his room to think about it. He sadly went to his room and locked the door. I left it at that and went to do some things. It was probably an hour later and I decided to see what he was up to in his room. I called to him to open the locked door- no answer. So I used the handy penny in my pocket. He was nowhere to be seen in the room. I looked everywhere thinking that he went to another room or something. After no luck , it came to me to check under his bed. I lifted the blanket and there he was covered with all the pillows and blankets that we store under there. He was sound asleep. Poor Avery. I am so mean. He felt so bad that he hid there and I left him to be there for over an hour. I am lucky he didn't suffocate.
I win the mean mom for the day award!

P.S. I also win because I am making Addison sit through
6 hours of a Strings Workshop each day this week.

You are definitely NOT the worst mom in the world. Kids try our patience, and we are only human. Don't be so hard on yourself-- he knows you love him.

You're not the worst mom. We've all done things we feel bad about. Just give him extra loves today.

If all the moms in the world loved their kids and treated them as you do, the world wouldn't be be perfect, but someone would have to invent a new instrument to detect the imperfections. We love you, Avery, and all of the rest of the "A Gang" inspite of a few things some of you may have inherited from me, Men's Things,
whatever that may be.

Love you all and always,

Grandpa Bart
