This week has been busy to say the least... It has been fun though. Monday I had off from school but planned out the upcoming week which consisted with me heading to Ogden to meet Ada and her second grade friends at the Dinosaur Park. I drove myself down so that I could leave early to get back the school for Avery's 3rd Grade Science Fair. Rush.. Rush... Rush!
I was put in charge of six adorable little girls while at the Dinosaur park. We explored, played, learned and had a lot of fun.

I made it back in time to help set up Avery's Science Fair Project. He made a Parascope ( his dad did). He did a great job explaining it. I was very impressed with how well he described how it worked to all the classes and parents.
The next day I was asked to help with the schools Field Day. I was there manning a station from 9-3. It started off cold, then got really hot, then turned windy. By the end I looked like I had been run over by a bus. The kids had so much fun. There were 12 different stations, each with different games and relays.

I did get to stop and take a break for lunch. We all ate outside on the grass. I was lucky enough to have both my little kiddos out there with me to keep me company.
Today (Thursday) I was able to go in and help with Avery's last day of school "Harry Potter Cart". They have had a unit on Harry Potter this last few month or so. They have worked EXTRA hard to earn money to spend at this cart. It had toys and candy galore.
They had to read like crazy and pass off so many tests. They had to do so good on homework assignments, etc. Avery earned $3,300 to spend at the cart. He was so excited.

On the way to school we discussed a boy in his class that has had a really hard year and doesn't do very good (mostly because of lack of parental help). He never got things done, was unable to participate in the Science Fair because he didn't do one. He sat in another room while the other kids did it. He has had only 2 recesses the whole year because he doesn't get things done. My heart just breaks for this guy. Anyway, I asked Avery if he would help me make his last day this year a happy one. He was excited to help. This boy is NOT the teachers favorite by any means and he does not get many positive moments in her class. He had $0 to go toward buying anything in the cart. I asked Avery if he would go into class and tell this boy that he was glad he was in his class and that he wanted to give him some of his money so that he could buy something today. He was SMILING from EAR to EAR as Avery gave him $1000.00 . I was sooo proud of my Avery. The boy was able to get so much, and Avery got the feeling of making someones day better. What a good learning moment.

Ada's class was right next door, so I was able to pop into her class as they watched a movie and had a pajama party.
We got home and I finalized my Pack Night. We had a Variety Show. Avery and I did some skits together for our talents and then he also did a Den skit. It was a super Fun Pack Night but I am glad it's over. Now, I'm excited for a Family BBQ here on Saturday and I was asked to do Singing Time in Primary on Sunday, which I have yet to even look at. One thing at a time!

Gavin will be at the Dino park this week...So good of Avery to be kind to that boy...makes my heart melt!:)
Thanks for being a great Mom, your children will always remember how
you gave of your time to help them
in all their activities. When they
grow older they will want to do as
you did and be there for their own
children and others. We can never
show enough charity toward others.
You have brought tears to your
father's and my eyes. You are so
special, the Lord will bless you
for your open heart to others.
I love you very much!!!!!!
Love Mom
What a good Mom! You have great Kids and my two girls are excited to spend some time with you guys. Looking good in that Scout uniform!
You do fill your days. The scriptures tell us that Christ "went about doing good." You are as christlike as anyone I know. We love you very much and are honored that you are aur daughter. We love all of you more than we can ever say or show.
Grandpa Bart
WOw , I'd say busy week. Holy cow! They ask for your help everywhere. And singing time? That sounds stressful to me, but maybe you can sing. I can't. Not even the least bit. And Pak meeting. I didn't think you were an actor too. Wow! Skits are NOT my favorite. I always hated the skits at Young Womens camp. Anyways, sounds like you had a fun and busy week.
Lots of fun, positives things for your kids...wow! I am amazed and inspired by your involvement and determination to help out each of your kids in their school endeavors. Super mom for sure!!
