First Day of School 2010

It is official. I have a freshman child! Addison is now taller than me, smarter than me and better looking than me. He is growing faster everyday. Time also is going by faster everyday. I am excited for Addison in his new endeavors. He traded in his violin for some running shoes. He is on the cross country team and has his first meet on Saturday. He runs great and I am glad he is finding things that he likes. I will however miss listening to the beautiful sounds of the violin.

Ada is also getting so big. She is now in 3rd grade if you can believe it! This is a big year for school because they are focusing alot on Multiplication/Division and also cursive and writing. She is so excited to be getting so big. I just can't believe it though. My BABY is in third grade.
Avery is now in fourth grade and will have the nicest teacher in the school. He has been ready for a good month now and he will do great. He loves his backpack and was counting all the pockets that it has this morning. Ada was jealous. She wanted to trade.
I am so glad that Avery and Ada are close in age and that Avery can watch out for his baby sister. They are in the same hall in the school and will cross paths many times, I am sure.

Steve is their bus driver and has been every year. He seems to be a good sport as I take their picture on the bus every first day of school.
Here is hoping that 2010- 2011 school year is a good one. Next week is my turn.

I feel old myself...already at Mountain Crest! (: It is nice Avery and Ada are so close in age, James and I are 4 years apart, and Lee was 4 years older, I have always secretly wished to have a sibling closer to my age. (:

Summer's fun but it doesn't hurt to have little more structure in their lives either. School is good for that. It looks like they are all off to a good start.

Love you all and always,

Grandpa Bart

Time does fly doesn't it? I don't like it either. Good luck next week!

They grow very fast. They look happy to be back in school. That is awesome that Avery and Ada can be in the same hall.

Hi Alison,
Yes I am doing the 5K on Monday in Wellsville, you should come and do it with me. This will be my fourth 5K this summer. I love to run, and believe you me I am no expert, so I'm not sure I would be the one to get advice from, but I would love to go running with you, and help you in anyway to figure out your breathing style. We could do the River Run sometime if you want to. We could just meet there, bring our kids, and enjoy the beautiful trail. Let me know...

Love ya!
Sam
P.S. I can't believe Addison is a Freshman, when I met him he was just getting ready to start kindergarten. Your children are all beautiful!
