Typically, my birthdays aren't that big of a deal and we don't celebrate much. I was glad that this year was different. Ammon took me to dinner on Friday and shopping for new running shoes. Then, on Saturday, we went for a bike ride together. Monday was my birthday and it started off great. Addison gets up early to go running every morning, but before he left, he posted a couple dozen notes around the house for me to find telling me happy birthday. That was very thoughtful. We ate breakfast and then Ammon and I went on another bike ride up to Sherwood Hills. It turned out to be short due to some trail restrictions, but it was still fun. We came home to some yummy cupcakes that our cute neighbor Julia had made for me. She is the sweetest. Later, we went to lunch with the family and then visited my mom and dad. They are so sweet and always do something for me ( which they shouldn't). I was able to go shopping for a few shirts at Kohls. Thank you, mom and dad. I love you. After that, we came home and my friend Jenn brought me a fancy Cupcake that she had made. It was all decked out and tasted wonderful. Thanks Jenn. Then, Christy brought me some cute cards from she and her kids along with some lotions. Very thoughtful. Don and Jill brought me a bottle of homemade Raspberry Jam and some hot pads that she had just knitted. So appreciated. Ada and Avery decided to make me some cupcakes all by themselves, so I let them. It was so cute- AND MESSY! To top it off, Ammon arranged for Logan City to shoot off some fireworks for me, (ha! ) We went to Willow Park with friends and watched the 24th celebration fireworks. All in all, I say this birthday was great! It is so nice to be thought about and remembered. I don't like getting older, but I can't do much about it. I decided that I just need to try to stay healthy and active and then maybe I won't look as old as I am. I am thankful for all the birthday wishes, for my family and friends. Love you all.
