Biking Providence Canyon

Ammon and I went on a Bike ride Saturday afternoon up to Providence Canyon. We did Green Canyon again last week, but we have never been here before and we wanted to test it out. Ammon was so nice to go on another ride with me, since he had just gotten back from a 11 mile ride with Addison and some friends up Stump Hollow. I couldn't go on that ride since I was getting things ready for the parade with the little ones. I was so happy he still had the energy to do another ride. I have been feeling bad that he wasn't on a different bike ride with other friends in Jackson for the weekend. I told him that I didn't think that he should go since he had just gotten back from a week in Alaska and was leaving next week for a Boy Scout Camp. I was surprised at his understanding. He has been so nice. We did our usual Friday Night date night. We went to Texas Roadhouse and then he took me to Al's to buy some running shoes for my birthday. He noticed that I needed to upgrade my shoes since I have been running lately. It was very thoughtful. I still feel bad that he missed his guy trip, but am so grateful that he takes the time to make sure I get time with him too! I love him so much and I LOVE that we are finding that thing in common to enjoy doing together. I am really loving Mtn. Biking and I am getting better and better each time I go. He even invited me to go to the Wasatch Crest in SLC in August with some guy friends. He makes my day when he includes me like that.

As we got further and further up the canyon ( which was hot and unshaded at the time). We kept having to cross road closures to get further up. We knew that the road had washed away because of all the snow runoff, so our curiosity got the best of us and we kept going until we came to it. It had taken the road almost completely away. There is no way that vehicles will ever be able to go up to that point and I hear it is going to take millions of $$$ to repair it. I think that they are not planning on repairing it anytime soon. We eventually found our single track trail that we were looking for and had a good ride back down the canyon. We came home, cleaned up and took Ada out for her night. It was a perfect day. I love my family!

Hee Hee, poor Jason hasn't had a "guy trip" for almost 10-15 years since the good ole biking days in Moab. Jason and my hobby is eatting. Um, I need to now stop and run with him. LOL

Looks like you have found a great hobby for you both!
