Ada has had many "BFF's" over the years, but this year she has had one of the best. She and Madison Rodak have been stuck at the hip all of fourth grade and they have so much in common. They are both really good in school, getting high grades and excellent readers. They are in SEM together and they just really enjoy being with each other. They push each other to do better, without competing with each other. They are always trying to get 100's on all their work and using their best cursive while doing it. I have been so appreciative of Madison. She has been so good for Ada and made her happy. Today was Madison's last day in school. Her family is moving to St. George and it has been really hard for Ada. She has had many moments of sadness. She has cried many tears. This morning, I told her that we would type up a list of all Ada's contact information and give it to Madison so that they could always keep in touch. We even set up an email address for Ada. She was so excited!!!! She will likely post more often on her blog too! We took Madison a gift basket full of treats that Ada wrote cute little sayings to go with them along with a balloon and a journal. I will miss Madison. I have really grown to love her. I work in their classroom everyday, so I have developed a soft spot for her. Today, after I got off of work, I popped into their class to give her one final hug and she stretched out her arms for me and I hugged her so tight telling her that I was going to miss her and thank you for being Ada's friend. We have promised to make sure and visit when we are down in St. George. I really hope that they can stay friends even from far away. They love each other like sisters.
I took a bunch of pictures of them along with some other girls from their class during lunch time today. They were like little models, wanting me take more and more. It was a good way to say good bye to Madison. We love you Madison and will miss you.

It's a small world. I told Ada that I was subing at the Temple on Saturday. When I told her it was a Brother Rodak, she said that her best friend was Madison Rodak. We figured out that the man I am subing for is her Grandpa. I told him about it and he told me what a sweet girl his grandaughter Madison is. Imagine a Grand father with those thoughts of their granddaughters. I hope they can stay in touch.
Love you all forever,
Grandpa Bart
