We wanted to go camping this weekend, but had conflicts on both Friday and Saturday, so we made it a Thursday night quick trip. We went up to one of our favorite spots- Green Canyon. It is so pretty and green right now. We like it because of it's Mtn. Biking trail. We had been up Monday for a FHE Bike Ride and were back on Thursday. It's close enough to home yet feels so peaceful and secluded.

Started off with the boys getting the fire started. We roasted hot dogs (fast and easy).
Then, the ever messy marshmallows and smores.

Avery and Ada kept busy running around and also playing cards in the camper.
The night came to a quick hault as the ran came down. We settled in for bed around 9:30. The kids were so wound up from all the marshmellows, it took some time for them to stop talking and laughing. We slept in until around 8:00 and decided to to forgo the mud playing. We drove back down to home after having a fun activity as a family. I think we are going again next weekend. Tis the season.

The kids will remember the fun, that's what counts and just being
together as a family.
Love ya, Mom
We did that a few times as a family when our kids were growing up. Not enough, but it made never to be forgotten memories. We still get razzed from time to time about "Camp Cold Hands."
Love you all and always,
Grandpa Bart
wish we could have been there!!
