The best looking fisherman to hit the Alaskan Waters!
We always hear the stories of how "the fish got away" ... and wonder if it is really true. Ammon had a big one on his line and he fought it until his pole snapped in two different spots. He obviously couldn't keep reeling it in, but he pulled it close enough to the boat for another guy to hook it. As it was hooked, it slipped back in the water. Ammon said that he and Steve laughed so hard during the whole thing that they were crying.
Obviously, the fish that got away wasn't the only fish in the ocean. They caught so many fish and kept only a portion to keep. They ate fish for lunch and dinner all the days. Ammon and Nate were the chef's cooking up fish tacos for the crew. Each of them brought home at least a box each of fish. Smoked some too!
These fish are just the ones they kept from one afternoon on the water.

I am glad that he had a great time and gets to do these things. It is a blessing to have so many friends and to enjoy different outings together. He came home safe and now we need to have a few friend/family cookouts to eat all the fish in our freezer (cuz, I ain't touchin the stuff!:)
